Payment Errors

This page documents the error types that can be returned by payment processors that FaxStore handles internally as of version 2.7.9. These errors can relate to an issue when the payment request is sent to the processor. Documented errors use error codes and below is the listed resolution or explanation of the error.

PayPal

PayPal only handles one error in total as most are bundled into the one request type.

• 400 (PayPal) There's been an internal error with PayPal, generally this is a token issue

Stripe

• Card errors will now resolve and display the related card error to the user on failure
• 429 Site has been rate limited by Stripe. Nothing much can be done about this except for waiting
• 400 There's an issue with the request format to Stripe. Contact Weblutions if you encounter this
• 500 Internal Stripe error, this is Stripe server issue, not the store. Wait and try again later
• 5002 Another form of internal error, this one is a networking issue on Stripe's end
• 401 This one is displayed if there's an invalid token used. Get new tokens and load them into the config
• 000 Unknown, check the FaxStore console and contact Weblutions if this is located

Square

Square doesn't have internal error handling support yet.
