This update of FaxUp marks the first update since three years ago. This release brings some very much needed quality-of-life additions and fixes one major bug that has haunted FaxUp for the past years.

New pinging methods have been added and existing ones refined to allow more accurate pings to websites, servers, and IP/ports. Changes to the "IP / Domain / URL" service field.
Addresses starting with http or https now treat the path for a website and seek a non-server related response (200,400,etc). Ant 500 HTTP code will cause a fail. This method uses the fetch API. If the URL call fails an attempt.
Net socket is now used for all port related pings with a 15second timeout.
Bare domains (no URL or PORT) use Fetch API to start and seek a valid (non 500) HTTP code. Otherwise, FaxUp now falls back to ICMP IP pinging based on any DNS records.
Bare IP addresses with no port use a ICMP based ping method with a ten second timeout.
A new daily clean up to clean the database from old entries that are older than 90 days. This was a major issue that caused older installations of FaxUp to crash or timeout when loading due to the database table being so large.
Additionally, this clean up takes place after around 10 seconds of FaxUp being booted.
The User Interface (UI) has been completely remade to bring FaxUp into 2026 and modern web-design.
Daily history calculations have been refined to allow a more accurate percentage to be shown.
Added new indexes for table lookups for the main page to load.
Added a toggle for an auto refresh of the main status page for end-users.
Updated many database endpoints to ensure a secure insertion.
Old database entries are now deleted through the daily clean up allowing a smaller faster database to operate.
Updated from Node.js v20.5.1 to v24.15.0 to align with Weblutions products. See Weblutions Product Node Version List for more information.
