FiveM Documentation
A Steam Hex (often called a Steam Hex ID) is a unique hexadecimal identifier generated from a user’s Steam account. It’s commonly used in game servers and integrations, especially platforms like FiveM, Garry’s Mod, and other Steam-authenticated services to reliably identify players without relying on usernames, which can be changed.
Because the Steam Hex is tied directly to a player’s Steam account, server owners use it for permissions, bans, whitelisting, and player data tracking. In simple terms, it acts as a permanent digital fingerprint for a Steam user within server systems.
To get your Steam Hex follow the below simple steps within a couple of minutes.
Copy your Steam Profile link by right clicking within your profile page on Steam
Navigate to Steam ID Finder and paste the link
Your Steam Hex will be displayed like in the below image

The process is that easy, once you have your Steam Hex you can save it or use it wherever is needed.
Your Steam Hex is not sensitive data and bad actors can't use it against you in any form other than identifying your Steam account.
